Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individual and group counseling to students
• Develop and support existing programs to promote personal growth, and social-emotional well-being
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify and address student needs
• Help in identifying the students at risk and do the follow up
• Communicate with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and concerns
• Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
• Participate in professional development and stay current with trends and best practices in the field
• Support in the organisation of pastoral events, such as Word Mental Health day or Safer internet day.
• Teach PSHE and organise specific workshops for Primary and Secondary students
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in counseling or related field
• State licensure or certification as a school counselor
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Strong understanding of child development and ability to work with students of all ages
• Experience working with different age groups
• Confidence with adult interaction (parents meetings, external professional meetings)
